So, I will admit that when I first heard this song, I broke out into some corny dance moves (in private). The beat is kind of hard to ignore and the chorus is catchy. I am not what one would call a Ciara fan (her music doesn't do much for me) but I do have one or two of her songs on my iPod. There have been moments when music videos have literally changed the way I feel about a tune, like it has in this case. I went from simply liking the song to playing it on repeat. I will also admit that I am hating hard on her body and those dance moves! How is this even fair? Back to the gym I go ...
I literally salivate over a pair of fierce shoes. SALIVATE. This my chéres is no exaggeration.
For as long as I can remember, my heart has gone thumpity-thump over a pair of finely crafted external coverings made for the human foot. Ask my parents. My Dad actually calls me Imelda Marcos.
I first discovered Charlotte Olympia on the forums of The Fashion Spot. Then, one by one, a few of my favorite fashion bloggers began posting her collections. It's like they were all taunting me. From that point on, I was obsessed. I stalked her website and even had daydreams where I'd be walking down the street and a pair of her shoes would fall down from the heavens and into my hands. No such luck yet. Even the brand name is triumphant. *sigh* If I get my hands on my very own pair, I'm convinced I could rule the world.
Stalking. Stalking. STALKING. That's what I've been doing ever since word got out that there would be a Sex and the City 2 movie. The teaser trailers. The movie images. All have been as torturous as swallowing my bottle cap sized multi-vitamins, as I wait to be reunited with my four girlfriends (in my head). Imagine my geeky excitement as I feasted my eyes upon the OFFICIAL theatrical teaser?! It has given me life! Ahhhhh! Let me tell you. It's every bit as delectable and wicked as I thought it would be. A girls trip to Abu Dhabi? (Which, by the way I will be adding to my travel list -- and if you know me. When it comes to travel, I MAKES it happen.) New York City and decadent wardrobes? The return of Aiden?? Already this film is shaping up to be everything I imagined ... and I haven't even seen it yet. Birthday á La Mode is now on official countdown! 49 days chéres! Are you ready to be Carrie'd away?
Woke up this morning with the sun casting golden slivers of light throughout our room and warm breezes flowing from the window. I laid there for a minute with my iPod on shuffle and this song by B.o.B feat. Bruno Mars came on -- right after This Will Be (Natalie Cole) and before Ay Yo (Melanie Fiona). It's like my playlists know how to help me start my day off right.
I LOVE this song. Definitely a "warm weather jam", as I like to call it ;-)
Went out to run some errands and noticed that the cherry blossom trees on my block have finally bloomed! This for me, has always been the true arrival of Spring! That and the fact that the temps today were way passed 70°. Sharing just a few pictures I snapped along the way:
I consider myself a chic girl who celebrates the little things. I'm obsessed with shoes, books, fashion, traveling, music and photography.
I see magic in champagne, cupcakes, ladybugs and freckles.
I believe that most of life's disappointments can be cured with a great cup of tea and delicious novel. Laughter is my best friend. Pretty things make my heart skip a beat.
I'm a wife, daughter, sister and friend. But most importantly, I try to live everyday like it's my birthday.
Welcome to Birthday à la Mode :)
